Login
After logging in to the platform, LIAISE will prompt you to reset your password. Simply follow the instructions provided, and once you've completed the process, you'll be ready to start exploring the platform.
Upload
There are two options you can upload video to LIAISE, from your computer, and from Youtube. If you want to upload the video from a youtube link, simply copy and paste the link right here, and LIAISE will go and get that video. Then go ahead and start naming our video project and change the target language you want to translate it to. Lastly, select the voiceThere are two options for uploading videos to LIAISE: from your computer or from YouTube. To upload a video from a YouTube link, simply copy and paste the link into the designated area, and LIAISE will retrieve the video. Next, go ahead and name your video project and choose the target language for translation. Lastly, select the voice option. For each supported language, LIAISE offers two voice options: a female voice and a male voice. Choose based on your preference. Personally, I will choose the male voice to align with the original video. option. For each language LIAISE supports, it offers two voice options, a female voice and a male voice. You can select this based on your preference. For me, I am gonna choose male voice just to make it align to the original video.
Pre-check
You can choose to review the transcript of the video for any issues, or let LIAISE handle everything automatically. All these sentences are generated by the ASR system, and you can click on them here to modify the transcript.
Edit Page
Welcome to the edit page, where you have a plethora of options to enhance your translated video.
- Preview: This section allows you to preview the video. Click the zoom-in icon to view the video in full screen. Click the dot icon for additional functions, such as turning on captions. LIAISE offers both original and translated captions.
- Modify Transcript: In this section, you can modify the video transcript. Edit text directly by clicking on it. If LIAISE detects changes, an icon will appear at the end of the editing bar. Click on it to automatically translate the modified text. You can also refine translated text for accuracy. Once editing is complete, click "update" to apply changes to the transcript and video.
- Retranslation: In the top right corner, find essential project information. Click the edit area to rename your project instantly. After editing, a toast notification will confirm the name change. You can also view the original video's spoken language. To create a new project based on the original video, select another language and voice option as described. LIAISE will initiate a new project accordingly.
